Welcome To My Blog

Hi everyone!!

My name is Jan and I live near Cardiff with my husband, dog and my 3 gorgeous Birman cats. Everyone who knows me, knows that I am mad about cats. I gave up breeding thema couple of years ago and can't wait to start again. In the meantime, crafting has become my new obsession.

I have been card making for about 6 years now but it is only recently that I have discovered a real love of stamping and hope to share that with you in the future.

Enjoyed using products from the winter Stampin Up catty !!!

I cut a hedgehog square from one of the Snow festive papers, matted on Cherry Cobbler card and stuck onto a scallop edged 6x6 card. I punched, using postage stamp punch, 4 squares of striped paper from the Snow Festive set. I used a smaller postage stamp punch and punched 4 squares of Cherry Cobbler card and matted onto the striped paper. Using the mini festive punches, I punched a tree, ornament and star from white glitter paper and mounted onto the Cherry Cobbler squares using foam pads. The greeting was from the hostess set, Mixed Medley. This was stamped using Cherry Cobbler ink and punched out with circle punch. All squares were then stuck onto card as shown.

Been playing with my new Stampin Up Ornament stamp and Die set...I just love it. This stamp was ideal for gilding...shame the camera can't pick up the glean and sparkle from the gilding flakes.

Shopping List:
6x6 card
black card, Bashful Blue card
linen effect card
pan pastels: ultramarine blue, ultramarine blue tint and violet tint
Stamps: Ornament Keepsakes, Mixed Medley, Baroque Motifs and Contempo Christmas
Framelits Holiday Ornaments
1 1/4" scallop punch
scallop trim border punch
black glitter embossing powder
memento black in and black gems

I matted black card onto the 6x6 card. I then coloured my linen card with pan pastels and stamped the swirl and sentiment with memento ink. The bottom edge to the linen card was done using the scallop trim border punch. I stamped the ornament on the Bashful Blue card, embossed with the black glitter powder and die cut it with the matching ornament die. Dmensionals were used to stick the ornament to the linen card. The centre of the ornament I created using the Mixed Medley snowflake stamp and the sentiment for that set. To finish, black gems were applied. Again, a quick card but effective I think. Hope you like.

Another quick card using my new goodies form Stampin Up! Punched scallop circles with new SU 1 1/4" punch using Poppy Parade, Certainly Celery and Whisper White card. I then stamped, using Real Red, stars from the Merry Minis stamp set into Whisper White card. I punched out the stars with the SU Merry Mini punches. I repeated this process with the trees and ornaments. Using dimensionals to give a 3D effect, I stuck a stamped/punched image onto a scallop circle and used the  circles to form a tree shape. I used a strip of paper from the Morning Mocha paper set for the trunk. Hope you like.

Hi everyone, not been up to blogging or making cards in the last few weeks......chemo has completely wiped me...will be so glad for it all to finish. On a happy note, I had delivery of items from the new New Winter catty and feel enough to make a quick card. I embossed an image from the new ornament stamp set and the sentiment is from the new hostess stamp set. I cut out the stamped image using the matching dies.....you just have to love Stampin Up !!!!!! I then just stuck the image onto a 3x3 card and voila....a simple but effective Christmas card.
