Welcome To My Blog

Hi everyone!!

My name is Jan and I live near Cardiff with my husband, dog and my 3 gorgeous Birman cats. Everyone who knows me, knows that I am mad about cats. I gave up breeding thema couple of years ago and can't wait to start again. In the meantime, crafting has become my new obsession.

I have been card making for about 6 years now but it is only recently that I have discovered a real love of stamping and hope to share that with you in the future.

Made using the gorgeous papers Snow Festival, the new labels and the sentiment is from a hostess set Mixed Medley

Alas, poor Dasher has been retired but he's so cute that will still be using him. A very simple monochrome card, just as I like it.

My friend form Oz is over in Wales and can't wait to see her tomorrow....there are going to be some tears I can tell you as not seen her since my parents dies and my cancer diagnosis.....anyway....got her a pressie so made the wallet and the card....hope she likes x
My camera is playing up....the colour used is Rich Razzleberry for the wallet and the DSP. Have used Apocathery and Mixed medley stamp sets with corresponding punches and dies x

Day 2 of Christmas card making but fancied doing something a bit different, hence a scallop easel card.
Love the Polar Party stamp set . Used retired papers for the matt layers while my fav colour, Cherry Cobbler, was used for the base card.
For the life of my I cannot remember which set the sentiment stamp comes from :-(
Holly punch was used on retired papers and finished off with some red pearls.

Enjoyed using products from the winter Stampin Up catty !!!

I cut a hedgehog square from one of the Snow festive papers, matted on Cherry Cobbler card and stuck onto a scallop edged 6x6 card. I punched, using postage stamp punch, 4 squares of striped paper from the Snow Festive set. I used a smaller postage stamp punch and punched 4 squares of Cherry Cobbler card and matted onto the striped paper. Using the mini festive punches, I punched a tree, ornament and star from white glitter paper and mounted onto the Cherry Cobbler squares using foam pads. The greeting was from the hostess set, Mixed Medley. This was stamped using Cherry Cobbler ink and punched out with circle punch. All squares were then stuck onto card as shown.

Shopping List:
6x6 card
black card, Bashful Blue card
linen effect card
pan pastels: ultramarine blue, ultramarine blue tint and violet tint
Stamps: Ornament Keepsakes, Mixed Medley, Baroque Motifs and Contempo Christmas
Framelits Holiday Ornaments
1 1/4" scallop punch
scallop trim border punch
black glitter embossing powder
memento black in and black gems

I matted black card onto the 6x6 card. I then coloured my linen card with pan pastels and stamped the swirl and sentiment with memento ink. The bottom edge to the linen card was done using the scallop trim border punch. I stamped the ornament on the Bashful Blue card, embossed with the black glitter powder and die cut it with the matching ornament die. Dmensionals were used to stick the ornament to the linen card. The centre of the ornament I created using the Mixed Medley snowflake stamp and the sentiment for that set. To finish, black gems were applied. Again, a quick card but effective I think. Hope you like.

Another quick card using my new goodies form Stampin Up! Punched scallop circles with new SU 1 1/4" punch using Poppy Parade, Certainly Celery and Whisper White card. I then stamped, using Real Red, stars from the Merry Minis stamp set into Whisper White card. I punched out the stars with the SU Merry Mini punches. I repeated this process with the trees and ornaments. Using dimensionals to give a 3D effect, I stuck a stamped/punched image onto a scallop circle and used the  circles to form a tree shape. I used a strip of paper from the Morning Mocha paper set for the trunk. Hope you like.

Hi everyone, not been up to blogging or making cards in the last few weeks......chemo has completely wiped me...will be so glad for it all to finish. On a happy note, I had delivery of items from the new New Winter catty and feel enough to make a quick card. I embossed an image from the new ornament stamp set and the sentiment is from the new hostess stamp set. I cut out the stamped image using the matching dies.....you just have to love Stampin Up !!!!!! I then just stuck the image onto a 3x3 card and voila....a simple but effective Christmas card.

Sail Away!!

Hi everyone, being organised this year and doing my Father's Day card early. It's going to be a sad one this year as my stepdad died 4 months ago. Did 2 cards out of habit so now will have to chose one to give to my Father-in-law.
Shopping list is similar for both as most are Stampin Up! products

Papers: these are retired unfortunately...trying to use up my stock but any blue designer series paper or Beau Chateau will work equally as well. I punched the edges of the paper using the scallop edge punch
Stamps: Sail Away for the boat, Sentiment from Teeny Tiny wishes (such a useful stamp set!!)
Stamp writers used to colour the boat
Die cuts are from the new summer catty using the framelits labels collection and used whisper white and marina mist card.
With the card with father's day stamped on it, the other sentiment from Lilli of the Valley.

Hope you enjoy looking at them on this appropriately wet Bank Holiday. Happy crafting xx

It's sunny outside!!!

Hi Everyone, finally made it into my craft room post surgery!!! was struggling for inspiration after being away so long but Craft Stamper arrived on my doorstep this morning and my crafting mojo kicked in.

Have had a few new stamps from Stampin Up! recently but not had the chance to play. To make this card I decided to use one of my favourite inks.....Rich Razzleberry and used with colour throughout. The stamps I used were Faith in Nature (Hostess set), Simply Soft (Hostess set), Fresh Vintage (Sale-A-Bration) and You're a Gem. I also used Stampin Up! punches 1 1/4" square and the postage punch. Hope you like it.

Have you all seen the new Stampin Up! summer catalogue....wow wow wow....have bought the Scoring Board and have to say that it's brilliant. So glad I sold my hougie board and bought this. Will try and make something and post for you to see.

Have been asked my a couple of people about a Virtual Stampin Up! Hostess Club. However, we need 10 people to do this so please contact me if anyone is interested so I can give you some more details!!!
